यही सब सोचते हुए जगदीश अपने खेतो की तरफ चला गया| ----
उधर मोहन की स्कूल भी खुल के २ महीने हो गए मोहन घर की परिस्थतियो में इतना उलझ गया की उसको स्कूल छोड़ना पड़ा लेकिन मोहन कि दोस्त गीता ,करन को रोज याद किया करती थी और यही सोचती रहती थी की मोहन पता नहीं क्यों स्कूल नहीं आ रहा कही उसकी तबियत तो नहीं खराब हो गई इस तरह के हजारो सवाल गीता के मन में मोहन के प्रति उठते रहते थे और गीता क्लास में बहुत गुम सूम सी रहा करती थी ज्यादा तर वो मोहन के बारे में ही सोचा करती थी क्यों की गीता को मोहन से बहुत ज्यादा लगाव हो गया था और अपनी पढाई करती थी |
मोहन शाम को काम से घर वापस आया तो उसकी माँ दरवाजे पे बैठी थी और बोली बेटा आ गए काम से तब मोहन हॅसते हुए बोला है माँ आ गया और अपने ने खाना -वाना खाया माँ, तो मोहन की माँ बोली है बेटा खा ली हु और चलो तुम भी खाना खा लो तब मोहन बोला है माँ आप खाना निकालो मै हाथ मुँह धुल के आ रहा हु मोहन खाने के लिए बैठ गया तब उसकी माँ बोली बेटा मोहन तुम शादी कर लो मै तुमसे वादा करती हु की तुम्हारी पढाई में कोई दिक्कत नहीं होने पायेगी क्योंकि बेटा हमसे घर का और खेत का काम अकेले नहीं हो पाता है मै आपकी माँ हु आपका गलत कभी नहीं सोचूंगी हम तो आपके अच्छे के लिए कह रही हु इतना कह कर मोहन की माँ रोने लगी तब मोहन खाने की थाली को साइड में करके अपनी माँ के अशुओ को पोछने लगा और बोला ठीक है माँ आपको जो सही लगता है आप कर सकती हो हम किसी बात के लिए मना नहीं करेंगे आप जो कहोगी मै वही करूँगा क्योंकि मोहन अपनी माँ को रोता हुआ नहीं देख सकता था इस लिए उसने अपनी माँ के खातिर हां बोल दिया|
लेकिन मोहन अंदर से बहुत दुखी हो गया फिर मोहन बोला माँ मेरी कच्छा ९ की पढाई भी सुरु हो के २ महीने हो गए है मै स्कूल भी नहीं जा पा रहा हु तब मोहन की माँ बोली बेटा तुम अपनी पढाई के लिए पैसा इक्कठ कर लो और अपनी पढाई करो तब मोहन बोला माँ मै इस बार नहीं पढाई करूँगा एक साल कुछ कमा लेते है फिर अगले साल कछा १० में दाखिला ले लूंगा बाकि मै घर में खुद से पढाई करता रहूँगा तब मोहन की माँ बोली ठीक बेटा तुमको जो सही लगे वैसा कर लो हमको कोई दिक्कत नहीं है ये सब बाते करने के बाद मोहन बोला माँ काफी रात हो गई चलो सोते है हमको भी सुबह जाना है काम पर इतना बोल कर मोहन अपनी माँ के पैर डेली की तरह छू कर सोने चला गया क्यों की मोहन सोने से पहले अपनी माँ के पैर जरूर छूता था और सुबह उठते ही अपनी माँ के पैरो को छूटा था माँ ही उसके लिए सब कुछ है यही सोच थी मोहन की |
सुबह मोहन उठा और रोज की तरह घर के काम किये और फिर अपने काम पर चला गया मोहन के जाने के बाद मोहन की माँ जगदीश के पास गई और बोली भैया मोहन शादी के लिए तो मान गया लेकिन हम इतना पैसा शादी के लिए कहा से लाएंगे हमारे पास तो फूटी कौड़ी नहीं तो शादी में तो बहुत पैसा लगता है तब जगदीश बोला आप परेशान मत हो भाभी सब हो जायेगा और किसी दिन लड़की वालो को बुला के शादी के तारीख रखा लेते है फिर उसके बाद मै सब कर लूंगा आप घर जाओ मोहन की माँ घर वापस आ गई अपना घर के काम करने लगी उधर जगदीश तैयार हो के लड़की वालो के यहाँ पहुंच गया और बताया की लड़का शादी के लिए मान गया आप लोग शादी की तैयारी करो और किसी दिन समय निकाल के घर आ जाओ तो लड़के की माँ से भी मिल लो और उसी समय शादी की दिन तारिक भी रख लिया जायेगा बाकि आप लोगो ने लड़का तो देखा ही है लड़का देखने की जरुरत तो है नहीं लड़की पक्छ वाले जगदीश की सारी बाते मन लिए और बोले ठीक है भैया हम बताएँगे कब हम आपके यहाँ आएंगे इतनी बात होने के बाद जगदीश अपने घर वापस आ गया
